SOFTWARE FOR CUSTOM MANUFACTURERS
Your business is a batch of one. Your software should be too.
Off-the-shelf systems make you work their way. We build the missing pieces around the ERP or accounting system you already run — so you can quote, build and bill your way.
No pitch. If off-the-shelf software fits, we'll say so.
Custom quoting, order and inventory software for manufacturers
Batch of One builds custom quoting, configurator, order and inventory software for manufacturers where standard tools don't fit. We connect it to the ERP or accounting system you already run, such as QuickBooks, NetSuite or Epicor, so nothing is typed twice and nothing has to be ripped out.
JOB 01 — Manual workarounds and double entryStill living with your system's limits?
- Are you still entering the same order in two or three places?
- Are you still keeping spreadsheets on the side because the system can't do what you need?
- Does pricing, costing or inventory live in a different place than the truth?
- Is the “real” process in someone's head, or in a workaround only they understand?
You don't have to accept that as the cost of doing business.
An alternative to a big ERP upgradeNot ready for that ERP upgrade? We don't blame you.
Big system projects take months, disrupt the floor, and often still leave quoting and custom work for "phase 2." You shouldn't have to choose between a risky overhaul and living with workarounds.
There's a third option. We connect to your data where it already lives, fill the gaps with focused tools, and write the results back into your system of record — so you can respond to customers quickly, without ripping anything out.
Why custom software is affordable nowCustom software used to cost what an ERP costs. Not anymore.
Modern development tools, including AI, have made focused custom software practical for businesses that could never justify it before. We use them to solve the problem in front of you with the smallest thing that works — then build more only if it pays for itself.
JOB 02 — Custom quoting, configurator and integration softwareBuilt around your process, not the other way around.
02.1
Configurators and quoting
B2B and B2C configurators and pricing logic for products with many options and rules.
02.2
Order to production
Turning what was sold into a complete, buildable job: BOM, cut list, work order.
02.3
Integrations
Get data out of your ERP, accounting, CRM and e-commerce, and write it back, so nothing is typed twice.
02.4
Automation and AI
Capturing incoming orders from email and PDFs, routing approvals, sending status updates, so your team spends its time on the work only people can do.
“Sometimes the best software is no new software.”
No new screens and no new logins: the work happens in the background and lands in the tools your team already uses.
JOB 03 — Build vs. buy for manufacturing softwareWe'll tell you when to buy.
SaaS isn't dead. If a product built for your industry covers how you work, buy it.
Buy when
- A provider already covers 80% or more of what you need.
- Your process is the same as everyone's: bookkeeping, payroll, basic inventory.
- Your pricing is a price list, not a calculation.
Build when
- No provider covers even 80% of how you configure, price and make your products.
- Workarounds now cost more than a focused tool.
- How fast and accurately you respond is part of why customers choose you.
Often the answer is both: buy the system of record, build the part that makes you different.
Custom software has real costs too: building it, hosting it, and maintaining it as your business changes. Go in with eyes open.
JOB 04 — How a custom software project worksStart small. Prove it. Then build.
- 01STEP 01 / 03
Walk us through one problem
30 minutes, no charge. Bring your last quote, last month's inventory count, or the spreadsheet everyone's afraid to touch. We'll trace it through your systems and show you where time and money leak out.
- 02STEP 02 / 03
Workflow Diagnostic (fixed fee)
About two weeks, fixed fee agreed before we start, credited toward a build. We map the 2–3 workflows that hurt most (quoting, order entry, inventory, purchasing), put a dollar figure on what they cost today, write down the rules that live in people's heads, give you an honest build-or-buy recommendation, and show you a first look at the fix. Useful on its own, whatever you decide next.
- 03STEP 03 / 03
Focused build, then run and evolve
A fixed-scope build of the piece that matters most, delivered in weeks rather than months and connected to the systems you already use. Then support, hosting and changes as you add products, people and customers.
- Fixed fee, agreed up front
- Honest build-or-buy call
- Connected to your existing systems
- You work directly with senior builders
What changes for your businessAnother year of workarounds, or room to grow.
Without
- Double entry across systems
- Side spreadsheets and workarounds
- Pricing knowledge that leaves when one person does
- Waiting on a big ERP project to fix it
With
- Quotes out the same day
- Inventory and costs you can trust
- Books that match without retyping
- Faster, more confident answers for your customers
JOB 05 — Our teamTwo senior builders, from first visit to launch.
We met building autonomous apparel manufacturing at CreateMe. Today we work as partners: one of us figures out what to build, the other leads how it's built. You're never handed off to a junior team.

Marina has spent 15+ years building software for retailers, SaaS companies and manufacturers, including Bloomingdale's, Nine West and AJ Madison. As VP of Product at CreateMe, she built a multi-tenant personalization platform integrated with Shopify, with patented visualization technology for embroidery and DTG printing at scale, and the operating system for an automated production line linking multiple automated stations. Along the way she integrated two acquisitions. Since then she has led quoting, work-order and accounting integrations for vertical software. Started in finance and accounting transformation at IBM; MBA in Finance; smart manufacturing studies at MIT.

Rajesh has spent 25 years building software for made-to-order products: a decade at Zazzle growing its on-demand manufacturing marketplace from $1M to $150M+, the founding team of MATCHCo (custom cosmetics with computer vision and just-in-time fulfillment, acquired by Shiseido), and engineering for IoT-driven apparel manufacturing at CreateMe. Most recently, as SVP Technology at Brilliant Earth (NASDAQ: BRLT), he built the company's first AI team, where ML-driven pricing lifted conversion 75%, and connected Shopify, NetSuite and Salesforce into one system. UC Berkeley, Computer Science and Applied Math; named inventor on a patent for producing customized products.
Plus the right specialists for the job
We bring in vetted engineers from a team across Europe and Latin America who have worked together for years. Each project gets exactly the people it needs, and you pay only for those.
Custom apps and integrations
Quoting tools, portals, and connections to your ERP, accounting and e-commerce.
Data and machine learning
Pricing, forecasting, and making sense of your order history.
AI automation
Reading orders, emails and documents, and routing work.
IoT and shop-floor hardware
Sensors, machine data, and connected equipment.
JOB 06 — Book a walkthroughBring us the workaround you're tired of.
Your last quote, a broken inventory count, the order that got entered twice. In 30 minutes we'll trace it through your shop and systems and show you where time and money leak out. If custom software isn't the answer, we'll tell you what is.
